Official Community Plan Refresh

The District of Barriere is refreshing its Official Community Plan (OCP), which was adopted back in 2011. The refresh will look to update population growth projections, housing needs in terms of supply, diversity and affordability, climate change impacts, and new provincial legislation.

An Official Community Plan (OCP) is the vision a community has for its future. It is a document that guides decision-making and how your community will grow and change over time. It influences everything around you such as housing, infrastructure, commercial/industrial development, recreation and open space, agriculture, and community services.
