Volunteering requires a minimum commitment to volunteer at least one shift per week for 6 months.

The volunteer roles we offer at this time are:

Ward Helper
Patient Flow Volunteer
A&E Volunteer
Horticultural/ Gardening Volunteer

As part of your induction process some volunteers will start their journey as a Patient Flow Volunteer.

This allows our volunteers to become orientated and have an insight into the hospital.

All successful applicants will be required to complete the following pre-volunteering checks:

Data Barring Service (DBS) check, References, Online E-learning modules, Mandatory Core Training and undertake an occupational health assessment.

The onboarding process can take approximately 6-8 weeks to complete, this is subject to your health clearance from Occupational Health.
