Transitions for Those with Expansion Medicaid to Medicare and other Medicaid Programs

The Medicare Rights Center, with support from the National Council on Aging’s (NCOA) Center for Benefits Access, is conducting a survey of states that offer adult group Medicaid (expansion Medicaid) as a result of the Affordable Care Act. For this survey, we are seeking information on adult group enrollees as they transition to other Medicaid programs—i.e. Aged, Blind, and Disabled Medicaid and Medicare Savings Programs (QMB, SLMB, and QI)—and to Medicare.

Details welcome on operational procedures and processes, systems and agencies involved, timing, sequencing, and barriers to identification, screening, and notification of these enrollees.
