Making Rushcliffe Better

Please tell us what you think about the Council and how together, we can make the Borough a better place to live and work. It is important that we hear everybody's views so that we can put our resources where they really matter.

All of your answers will be treated in the strictest confidence and will only be used to monitor the Council’s services.

A number of questions in this survey ask you to think about ‘your local area’. When answering, please consider your local area to be the area within 15 – 20 minutes walking distance from your home.

Your local area receives services from Nottinghamshire County Council (including highways, education and social services), Rushcliffe Borough Council (such as planning, refuse collection and street cleaning), your local parish council (if you have one) and numerous voluntary and community bodies. In this survey we are only concerned with your views about your local area and the services provided by Rushcliffe Borough Council.

Rushcliffe Borough Council is responsible for a large number of services, including the collection of council tax and business rates, and your grey and blue bins (and green if you have one). They also administer council tax and housing benefit, manage elections, and provide planning advice and consent. As well as keeping the streets clean and children’s’ play areas safe, they provide accommodation for the homeless and maintain sports pitches and leisure centres to help you stay fit and healthy.
Rushcliffe's part of your annual council tax bill for a band D property equates to around less than 8 pence per week.
