2019-2020 Time for Art Artist Submission Form

Submissions are due Friday, March 6, 2020.

Each piece needs its own submission form.
Limit 5 submissions per artist.
Submissions will be reviewed by the event committee.

All artists will be notified on March 10, 2020, on which pieces were selected. All art is due to the United Way of East Central Iowa office by April 1, 2020. Time for Art: A Celebration of Volunteers is going to be on Friday, April 17, 2020.

Time for Art: A Celebration of Volunteers is a unique way to raise awareness of the local art community while also engaging young professionals in volunteering locally. Artists are encouraged to participate by donating their work through a juried selection process; in return, the artists' work will be eligible to win awards and prizes in different categories. Artwork will be given to the attendee who bids the most hours upon completion of those hours and is tracked by United Way of East Central Iowa throughout the year.

Submission Requirements:

Open to all artists ages 18 and older.
All original works created by submitting artists must be recent works within past two years.
All mediums (except film and video) are eligible. Art may be anything from paintings to artistic crafts to dance lessons.
Work must be able to fit through a regular door frame!
Artist is responsible for shipping and delivering their work.
Artist must submit a photograph (8x10 jpg) of their work.

Artist Benefits

Selected pieces will inspire people to donate their time to support local causes.
Your work will be eligible to win physical awards and cash prizes in three categories:
- Artist Selection (participating artists' vote)
- Community Impact Award (highest volunteer hours)
- New Artist Award (Time for Art committee votes from new artists)
Free registration for the event
Artists and artwork will be listed in the event program.
Artists featured on event website and during the event campaign.
Artists are encouraged to attend and put out business cards with their artwork.
All artists will have the potential to be featured in the local press.
