Town of Richlands Swinging Bridge Replacement Use Survey
The Town of Richlands has been selected for a Transportation Alternative Program planning grant to investigate replacing the swinging bridge near the Mall. The two main objectives of the project are:
1. Construct a pedestrian bridge across the Clinch River in the vicinity of the Swinging Bridge that has fallen into disrepair and is now closed to the public.
2. Develop trail heads on each end of the bridge to accommodate use of the proposed pedestrian bridge and tie into the Town of Richlands Greenway segments that are also planned.
