Nominate someone to be put forth as an NIH study section reviewer by SAEM.

SAEM will review all nominees and select a number of individuals to recommend as reviewers to the NIH Center for Scientific Review through its new Professional Societies Recommendation Portal. NIH guidance states that ideal candidates will have an active research program, extramural funding, and not be a standing member of an NIH study section or advisory council. Further, the NIH Center for Scientific Review asks societies to recommend scientists from diverse backgrounds and career stages, e.g., assistant, associate, and full professors. For situations in which a candidate does not have NIH funding but has other sources of research funding, submitting a CV is particularly helpful.
