This document serves as a proposal form for 4 Waves 40 Performance for the Hole, a performance art marathon curated by Justin Hoover that presents key players in the community of time–based artists at SOMArts and in the Bay Area over the last 40 years. There are 11 brief questions and should only take a moment to fill out. Submit your responses by July 24th, 5pm and the curatorial team will be in touch with further questions. Not each proposal is guaranteed a place in the lineup. 40 works of art will be selected. All proposals will be responded to. Performance Rules:
1) No hurting yourself or others.
2) You have four minutes in the hole: one minute to set up, two to perform, and one to clean up. Or you can use the four minutes as you see fit.
3) We have a strict NO fire, NO glitter, NO glass, NO bodily fluids and NO smoke machines policy.
4) You must be able to clean up whatever mess you make within your allotted time and leave the hole as you found it.
5) Any special needs or technical requests must be made in advance, here, on this document.
6) There is NO rehearsal.
