Business Rates Relief Consultation |
Introduction
Shortly before Budget 2015, the government launched a discussion paper on the future of business rates and asking for contributions on the case for reform.
The aim of the paper is to consider how business rates can be made to fit a 21st Century economy.
Although charities are not the main focus of this discussion, business rate relief is worth £1.6bn to the sector and could be affected by any proposed changes. The review asks for the sector to demonstrate the importance of this relief.
The aim of this survey is to understand the current issues facing charities claiming business rate relief to inform our joint-response to this consultation.

This survey will close on the 8th May 2015.
