Alexandria was established in 1749 by Scottish merchants and was named after Scotsman John Alexander. Today, through a partnership with Visit Alexandria, the City of Alexandria and the Campagna Center continues to honor this heritage with the iconic Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk Parade. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to join us for the parade on December 7, 2024. There are various volunteer opportunities (e.g. banner carriers, vehicle lineup volunteers, parade route volunteers, etc.) to support the success of the parade. All volunteers will take part in a virtual orientation in late November to learn more about the duties associated with their assigned role. To learn more about the parade, please follow this link to Visit Alexandria's website.
