Alexandria was established in 1749 by Scottish merchants and was named after Scotsman John Alexander. Today, through a partnership with Visit Alexandria, the City of Alexandria and the Campagna Center continues to honor this heritage with the iconic Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk Parade. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to join us for the parade on December 7, 2024. Currently we are seeking support for Assembly Block Captains from 9 to 12 pm and Parade Route Volunteers from 10:30 to 1:30 pm as our first and most important priorities. If you wish to Volunteer in the other time slots for others roles as back-up support in the event we have people unable to join us for their assignment times, please select those hours/roles.
