In light of the recent Pirls (Progress in International Reading Literacy Study) results, we the Gauteng Association of Homschoolers, invite homeschool parents and their Grade 4 learners to take part in this study.

It is a free comprehension test. There are questions that your child needs to answer once he/she has read the story. We suggest they read the story once through, then read the questions, then read the story again. You may not read the story or the questions for them. This is a study to test your Grade 4 child's reading ability and understanding of the story. 

Once they have answered all the questions, please mark their work using the memorandum given. Then come back to this survey and fill in your child's results (as a percentage).
