Purpose: To better understand the relationship between hidradenitis suppurativa, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and sensitive skin syndrome.

Who is conducting this survey?: The George Washington School of Medicine Department of Dermatology is conducting this study under the direction of Dr. Adam Friedman, MD, FAAD, Professor and Chair of Dermatology.

Eligibility: To be eligible, one must be a patient with hidradenitis suppurativa and be over the age of 18.

Responsibilities: Taking part in this research is entirely voluntary. If you choose to take part in this study, you will answer the survey questions below, estimated 10 minutes to complete. The survey does not ask for any personally identifiable information and will not be connected at any point with any identifiable information. This is a one-time survey. You may refuse to answer any of the questions and you may stop your participation in this study at any time.

Incentive: As a special thank you for participating in our study, the first 100 respondents to complete the survey in entirety will receive a $10 Amazon gift card! To be eligible for the gift card, you can submit your email in a secondary survey that will be displayed on the final page of this survey. The purpose of the secondary survey is so that your contact information will never be linked with your responses to this survey. Entering your email to receive the gift card is completely optional and will not impact your participation in this study.
