Home Video Audio Description Survey

GetBraille.com is a small braille production company that provides braille, large print, and audio materials, as well as low-tech assistive technology solutions to those with print disabilities.

We believe that everyone should have access to information and entertainment, regardless of their level of vision.

We believe that audio description of home movies, school and other functions and wedding videos can help to bring the family together to experience these timeless memories. Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. Your feedback is important to us as we strive to expand our services and meet the needs of our fellow people within the blind and visually impaired community.

In this survey, we want to ask you some questions about home, wedding, and school or other life event personalized videos. Specifically, we want to find out if you would like these videos audio described, with a human narrator and if so, what sorts of things are most important to you when it comes to audio description. Please give us as much feedback as you'd like; your opinion is truly helpful as we roll out this one-of-a-kind service.

1.Have you ever wished you could get a school, home, or wedding video audio described and why?(Required.)

2.What would you consider a reasonable pricing structure on a per-minute basis? E.G. $5 per minute.(Required.)

3.When providing a video to be described, are you able to compile a visual key with picture name combos identifying the key people or animals appearing in your video?(Required.)

5.If the video is short or fast-moving and there is lots of talking, do you prefer:(Required.)

A. Description is kept to a minimum and does not trip over dialogue if possible.

B. The film is stopped (freeze-framed) periodically in order for the description to fit properly and not trip over dialogue.

6.Besides home, wedding and special function videos being provided with audio description, what other sorts of personalized films do you wish were available with audio description? E.G. your own Tiktok videos, Youtube channels, Twitch, and so forth.(Required.)
