Event Details:
Join Mobile United's Natural Resources Task Force and the Mobile City Council for an outdoor day of service on Saturday, January 14, 2023. Similar to last year, we will be expanding the MLK Day of Service clean-up by hosting one site in each of the seven city council districts. We are encouraging the public to participate in the clean-up being held in the district closest to them (site locations and partners are listed below). Participation is free, but pre-registration below is strongly encouraged. Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. and the cleanup will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.

What we encourage volunteers to wear/bring:
1. Comfortable, warm clothing that you do not mind getting a little wet or dirty
2. Boots that can get wet and/or muddy
3. Sunscreen
What we will provide:
1. Safety vests
2. Garbage bags
3. Gloves and/or trash picker
4. Hand sanitizer & bug spray
5. First aid kit
The purpose of the event is to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by inspiring citizens to give back to the community. Event partners include the Mobile City Council, Alabama Coastal Foundation, Dog River Clearwater Revival, Mobile Baykeeper, Keep Mobile Beautiful, Osprey Initiative, and Andy Citrin Law Firm.
