Anyone who works in forestry in New Zealand will have come across a range of myths that the wider community believes about our forest industry. For example 'radiata pine destroys the soil' or 'plantations are green silent deserts with no biodiversity'.
At the upcoming NZIF conference in Masterton I've been asked to talk on 'mythbusting' and am keen to get Institute members' perspectives on the myths out there and how to deal with them. I'll then fold these perspectives into the talk.
