Accelerating Smarter Development is a collaborative project undertaken by NBN co and Urbis to drive interest and engagement in smart development, analyse industry perspectives, and ultimately develop an industry informed Prospectus to serve as a resource for all stakeholders.

As an integral step of the industry engagement phase of that project, this short survey aims to uncover strengths, challenges, opportunities, and priorities in smart development across Australia, as understood by key stakeholders across the development industry.

This survey complements numerous workshop engagements undertaken by NBN co and Urbis, and delivered by Delos Delta. These prior conversations inform the survey questions and response options. Where space for additional comments are provided, however, further input is encouraged, as your insights are key to developing the Prospectus as a collaborative resource.

Your perspectives and expertise are greatly appreciated. The survey should take 12-14 minutes.

"A smart development applies digital technology, data, and innovative practices to improve liveability, sustainability, collaboration, and economic opportunities in its communities."

Smart development involves a wide range of priorities and actions. A common link, however, is the use of technology, data, and innovation to deliver improved community outcomes and priorities. This can encompass economic prosperity, liveability, health and wellbeing, safety, community connection, and many other focus areas.

This framing of smart development might be useful to keep in mind as you work your way through this survey. Smart development in this survey refers specifically to the use of technology, innovation, and data to deliver on community priorities, as an extension of the 'smart community' concept.

Please note that required questions have an asterisk ('*'), and a specified limit of up to 3 responses. Failure to comply with this limit will result in an error message on final submission.
