The City Clerk's Office is seeking expressions of interest from the community sector involved in housing solutions to fill two (2) vacancies on the Affordable Housing Working Group.

The City will be accepting expressions of interest between the following dates:

      • Tuesday, January 21, 2025 to Sunday, February 9, 2025
About the Committee

The Affordable Housing Working Group is responsible for providing advice to Council regarding housing system related policies, directives and strategies as well as implementation of the 10-year Affordable Housing Strategy, 2019 to 2028. In implementing the Strategy, the Working Group is to consider relevant City policies and activities which impact the Strategy and ensure communication with the appropriate parties. The working group will ensure there is a comprehensive understanding of housing, affordable housing and homelessness issues and initiatives.

Working Group member roles, responsibilities, and length of term are set according to the Committee's Terms of Reference.

Selection Criteria

In addition to eligibility requirements, an applicant's specific skills and experience will be important factors in working group selection. While all who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply, applicants with demonstrated participation in groups or initiatives with goals relevant to the Working Group's purpose will be preferred.
