Coalition of Minority Professional Engineer Societies - Professional Development Conference 2021

We are excited to share that the Call for Speakers is now open for COMPES PDC 2021.

While many attendees are minority professionals, NSBE, SHPE, and SWE’s target audience for this professional development conference is all engineers and those in technology-related careers.

We are excited to include new speakers and topic ideas. Examples of popular past sessions include technical topics of current interest, "soft skills" development workshops, career transitions, work-life integration, and tools for personal and professional growth. Concurrent sessions are planned for 45 minutes to an hour of content, and each is typically attended by approximately 40 people.

We encourage individuals and groups to submit a topic proposal related to the theme Switching Gears - Thriving Through Transitions for the 2021 COMPES PDC. This year's event provides a confluence of on-demand sessions as well as a day of powerful talks. The live conference will be held on May 8th, 2021 with focus around transitions, empowerment, changes in technology, innovation and leadership.

Selected speakers will be notified by mid March and receive free registration for the conference including the keynote and breakout sessions, full details for the event, and assistance with any audio-visual needs or handouts.
