Dear participant,

The DD Council sends out a satisfaction survey every year so that we can get your feedback on how we're doing and where we could improve. Some of the projects we've focused on this year include being active in our interim Legislature, our Self-Advocacy Conference, teaching our Partners in Policymaking classes, collaboration with other disability agencies, sharing information on various topics such as supported decision making, accessibility, voting, self-advocacy, cultural diversity, transportation, and employment. We also gather and share public health information and resources. To learn more about all of our projects please visit our website at www.nevadaddcouncil.org.

The NGCDD is working on reporting on the goals and objectives in the FFY 2022-2026 5-Year State Plan which identifies the priority areas of emphasis for Nevada as Employment, Self-Advocacy, Transportation and Health. The activities and projects funded by NGCDD and performed by NGCDD staff, NGCDD Council Members and through community grants, work towards accomplishing those goals and objectives.
From October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024 some of those activities/projects include:
  • Informed Choice and Supported Decision-Making Projects – administered by NGCDD Staff
  • Self-Advocacy and Leadership Projects including Partners in Policymaking and the Youth Empowering Students Program– administered by NGCDD Staff
  • 5-year State Plan Initiatives – administered by Community Chest and NGCDD Staff
  • Cultural Diversity and Outreach – administered by NGCDD Staff
  • Integrated Employment – administered by Best Buddies

Please assist the NGCDD in reporting the impact and satisfaction outcomes from the projects listed above, and/or any other activities performed by the Council, by completing this survey. If you would please take a few minutes to answer these questions we would greatly appreciate it!
This survey will remain open until close of business on November 8, 2024.

Sincerely,
The Nevada Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities Staff and Council Members
