Rockaway Beach Strategic Plan: Community Review Survey

We are excited to share our DRAFT Strategic Plan with you! The strategic plan will serve as the City’s roadmap in serving the community over the next five years. Since the beginning of the strategic planning process in spring of 2024, more than 700 community members, visitors, and City employees have contributed ideas, input, and feedback to help shape this plan.

Over the last year, City staff have worked diligently and collaboratively to develop a strategic plan than reflects the aspirations and priorities of our community. Through an extensive engagement process, we have redefined our organization's mission, vision, and values, and crafted a plan that addresses the challenges and opportunities on the horizon for our organization and community.

Throughout the engagement process, we received thousands of comments from community members, visitors, and City staff with ideas and priorities for Rockaway Beach. We explored these ideas in detail with staff and community members, categorized the ideas into goal areas, and developed specific action items designed to achieve each goal.

Now we have a draft five-year strategic plan to align organizational resources and citywide initiatives to achieve community priorities. But first, did we get it right?
