Policymakers in Canada and around the world are grappling with how best to protect and advance the public interest as a result of rapid advancements in artificial intelligence. At the same time, Canada is home to some of the world's most advanced scientific and technical expertise on AI.

Mila (Quebec AI Institute) and CIFAR (the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research) are launching a new program to help policymakers tap into AI expertise to provide independent, scientific advice directed at policymakers' needs.

To target the program effectively, we are writing to ask Canadian policymakers to fill out this short survey to identify and track needs and gaps of Canadian policymakers now and over time.

Thank you for participating. For any questions, please reach out to aipp@mila.quebec.
