With support from partners, including the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, Alabama Humanities Alliance (AHA) offers multiple opportunities for engagement in the Healing History Initiative. Please join us. Answer questions below to Indicate interest and availability to participate in activities -- or contact us with your own idea for investigating the past in your local community.

Question Title

Past Forward – A two-hour group exercise and conversation during which participants consider how policies from the past affect us in the present to better understand issues that might impact relationships in Alabama today.

Rx Healing Circles – Half- or whole-day sessions that allow participants more time to connect, share, and learn from one another in facilitated response to the Past Forward exercise and other prompts.

Healing History Cohort -- Six-month, eight-session commitment that permits participants to know one another more deeply through conversations about their own lives and in facilitated response to the Past Forward exercise and more shared experiences.
