Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme - survey |
About this survey
The Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme (GASDS) started in April 2013 with the aim of allowing organisations to claim Gift Aid-style top up payments on cash donations.
Figures from HMRC show that £7 million was claimed in the first year of the scheme, lower than the government forecast of £50 million.
The Institute of Fundraising, National Council of Voluntary Organisations, and the Charity Finance Group are working together to find out why the number of claims has so far been low. It may be that organisation are waiting to claim and will be doing so over the following months, but it could also be due to lack of awareness of the scheme or complications in the claiming process.
Through hearing your experience of GASDS we will be better able to influence the government so that we can make the scheme a success and ensure that charities are able to claim all of the money that the sector is eligible for.
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience of GASDS. The survey should only take about 5 mins to complete.
The survey will stay open until June 27th
