Do you have an important project that could be initiated and completed between January and May 2025, but lack the human resources to accomplish it?

LEAD San Diego is seeking project proposals from community-based 501c3 organizations serving low-income and/or traditionally underserved communities in the greater San Diego region.

Completed proposals are due by Friday, September 27, 2024.

PROJECT SCOPE
  • Project Duration: Projects MUST be completed between January 2025 and May 2025.
  • Team Composition: Each Leadership Action Team will consist of six (6) to ten (10) members of the Impact San Diego Class of 2025.
  • Volunteer Commitment: Teams are comprised of professionals who are volunteering their expertise, outside of full-time jobs and other personal responsibilities.
PARTNER ORGANIZATION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaboration: The partner organization’s CEO or designated liaison will actively collaborate with the Leadership Action Team, providing regular guidance and resources.
  • Funding: Organizations must fund all project-related expenses.
  • Final Presentation: Successful projects will be showcased at a closing event on June 5, 2025, attended by participants and key stakeholders. Attendance by partner organization staff and/or board members is required.
ELIGIBILITY
  • Organizations with a representative in the Class of 2025 or those selected as partners within the past 10 years are not eligible.
  • Innovative Projects Encouraged: We seek unique and innovative project proposals that leverage the diverse skills of the volunteers. Past projects have included development of communications & marketing plans; creation of a facility expansion feasibility report; and development of a five-year strategic plan. Direct fundraising projects will not be considered.
  • If the project is selected as a finalist, a follow-up meeting will be conducted by LEAD San Diego staff and a selection committee made up of LEAD graduates the weeks of October 28 & November 4, 2024. At least one (1) board member from the organization is required at the meeting.
If your organization would like to be considered as a potential Leadership Action Team partner agency, please review the guidelines and complete the proposal form by Friday, September 27. The proposals may also be submitted by email to LEAD@SDChamber.org. INCOMPLETE PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
