OWWA/WEAO Climate Action Award Submission

This award recognizes and acknowledges innovative projects and programs related to resilient infrastructure or that reduce the climate impacts by having a low or net-zero emissions footprint (mitigation).
The award is open to all agencies, municipalities, and private sector companies in Ontario's water sector.
Most questions in this application provide information regarding how judges may score responses. Please note that these are suggestions and that judges reserve the right to score any application in any manner they deem fit, provided their judgement is consistent between applications.

All questions are scored with a number from 0 to 10 and all written response questions hold equal weight.

Please keep your responses within the word count specified in each question. Judges reserve the right to ignore content beyond these limits.

The most points will be award to projects that relate most to the water/wastewater industry.

* 3. Please describe how this project/program is innovative. (200 maximum word count)
The most points will be awarded to projects that are new to Ontario, Canada or the world. Points are awarded to projects that are innovative within the applicants organization.

* 4. Please describe how your project/program can help others through the sharing of knowledge gained from your project/program. Describe how your project/program can benefit other agencies. Is it specific to the water and wastewater industry or can other agencies benefit from the same type of project/program? (200 maximum word count)
The most points will be awarded to projects that can be shared with others and have the potential to motivate them into action.

* 5. Describe the project/program's expected life and how it relates to climate change action? (100 maximum word count)
The most points will be awarded to projects with long lifespans (20+ years).

* 6. What is the cost of the project/program? Discuss how the project/program met any applicable financial metrics (cost per tonne of CO2e, return on investment, cost/benefit analyses, economic loss reduction, or otherwise as may be applicable). (150 maximum word count)
The most points will be awarded to projects that have multiple types of benefits.
