You are applying to attend the Wyoming Women's Antelope Hunt, which will be held October 6-9, 2022, as an individual hunter. Individual hunt packages cost $3,500 each. You do not need any hunting experience to apply to participate.
Origin of the Wyoming Women's Antelope Hunt
The Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt was founded in 2013 by the Wyoming Women’s Foundation (WYWF) as an opportunity for mentoring and developing camaraderie between women. The Wyoming Women's Antelope Hunt raises funds and awareness for the Wyoming Women's Foundation (WYWF), whose mission is to invest in the economic self-sufficiency of women and opportunities for girls.
Teaching women to hunt can help them feed their families nutritious food and fulfills WYWF’s mission of investing in the economic self-sufficiency of women. Now in its tenth year, the Hunt is the first all-female hunt of its kind in the United States. This professionally-guided antelope hunt for all levels and ages of hunters emphasizes safety, hunting ethics, and mentoring. The friendly and supportive community and beautiful surroundings encourage new friendships, networking, and opportunities to learn and grow.
Ways to participate
There are three ways to participate as a hunter in the Hunt. Sponsors, individuals, and scholarships help us fill the approximately 46 hunt spots available. Note that the number of hunt spots fluctuates slightly depending on weather and forage conditions, animal populations, and hunting land available in a given year.
Criteria for selection will be based on a written statement and reviewed by a panel of Hunt Planning Committee members. WYWF is looking for women passionate about women's economic self-sufficiency, mentoring, and camaraderie through hunting.
Schedule
There will be four individual hunt spots available with the application opening on December 21, 2021.
For full consideration, apply by February 15, 2022. Applicants will be notified whether they are selected or on the waitlist by March 1, 2022.
