Application Deadline: April 1, 2020

Thank you for your interest in the Community Leadership Course (CLC). Informed New Yorkers are essential partners in CCC’s mission to ensure that every child is healthy, housed, educated and safe.

This course explores the challenges and opportunities facing New York City’s children and the impacts of public policy on their well-being. Participants examine these issues and learn what we as advocates can do to help.

The 2020 Community Leadership Course will be scheduled for one day a week, generally on Wednesdays, beginning on September 9 and ending on November 18. Mornings are spent visiting programs that provide services to children and families. Lunches and afternoon sessions are held at CCC's offices and are conducted in seminar fashion, led by CCC staff and guest speakers. There are also 2 independent studies to be completed in small groups. Following a graduation social in December, an Advocacy 101 workshop will be held in January 2021.

The fee for the Community Leadership Course is $1,200. Partial and full scholarships are available.
