2019 UNC Science Expo

Welcome!

Thank you for providing this information to assist event organizers as we plan the 2019 UNC Science Expo, which will be held on campus on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 11am-4pm. The theme for next year's event is Made in North Carolina. 

This survey consists of ten questions. Only one submission is required for each participating team/organization! This survey will ask you to describe what kind of activity you will offer to the general public during the UNC Science Expo. Hands-on, tabletop activities and lab tours are the most popular and needed activities. The other questions ask about your proposed location and safety considerations for your activity. If you need to change any of your responses while completing the survey, please use the "prev" button on your computer.

There are some guiding principles for successful events that we hope you will consider as you plan your activities:

1. The activity is appropriate for diverse audiences (diverse ages, backgrounds, science experience levels).
2. The activity shows a connection between science, technology, engineering, mathematics and people's everyday lives.
3. The activity enables participants to interact with a science researcher or knowledgeable student.
4. Participants in the activity will have an opportunity to DO something.
