Each year, CFPA recognizes “Freshy Award” winners in acknowledgment of individual Californians, as well as organizations, from across the state that have worked diligently in the last year to improve CalFresh. The winners are announced and recognized at the annual CalFresh Forum.

CFPA is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Freshy Awards! The Freshy Award categories were established to encourage nominations across a number of CalFresh oriented professions, including advocates, administrators, elected officials, and more. We are collecting information about each nominee in order to develop a voting ballot that will be distributed in February.
2019 Freshy Award categories:
• Administrator of the Year• Outreach Leader of the Year• Advocate/Grassroots Mobilizer of the Year
• SSI Cashout Reversal Advocate of the Year• Elected Official or Capitol Staffer of the YearIn addition, CFPA recognizes the small, medium and large counties with the highest, and most improved, Program Access Index (PAI).
The Freshy Award nomination process will close on
January 25, 2019.
