Coming to America: 2018 APV - Interest Form

For centuries, a steady influx of people from other countries has helped make the United States a nation comprised of immigrants. Today, many people are asking questions about the country's immigration policies - important questions that we need to consider together. The Kettering Foundation, in partnership with the National Issues Forums Institute, is excited to announce that the topic of A Public Voice 2018 will be exploring this question and the tensions that arise as communities begin to seek common ground on this crucial issue. We are eager to work with communities who are interested in having generative and deliberative conversations on this topic and connect them to their legislators at the local, state, and federal level.

To qualify for this special offer, you must:

Host a forum on Coming to America between January 2018 and April 2, 2018
Ensure that each participant and moderator complete a post-forum questionnaire
Send all questionnaires back within a week of hosting the forum (all questionnaires must be returned by April 6, 2018)
Collect participant contact information for additional A Public Voice and NIFI opportunities

NIF FORUMS FOR APV Data Collection

We will be collecting questionnaires, moderator reports, and transcripts as well as conducting moderator interviews and observing forums scheduled between January 2018 - April 2, 2018. The data from these forums will inform our report to elected officials in spring 2018.
