Annual Gala | Unmasking Homelessness | Hyatt Regency Minneapolis

A benefit for homeless children and their families.

Support People Serving People in helping families find their way home. We need YOU to volunteer to make this event a success.

We need 85 volunteers to assist with the annual gala. Come as an individual or as a group!

All volunteers must be 18 years or older.

Set-up & move-out crews please wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing.

Event crews please wear black dress clothes and comfortable dress shoes.

4:30-7:15 pm | Greeters

7:00-9:00 pm | Coat Check

4:30-5:45 pm | VIP Escort

9:00-11:00 pm | Coat Check

4:30-7:30 pm | Registration

4:45-7:45 pm | Game Hosts

5:00-7:45 pm | Floaters/Bid Assistants

7:30-9:30 pm | Spotters/Recorders

7:45-10:30 pm | Invoice Delivery Assistants & Check-Out

7:45-10:30 pm | Merchandise Packers & Check-out Assistants

8:00-10:30 pm | Move Out

VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTIONS

FULL-Greeters: greet guests and direct them to registration

FULL-VIP Escorts: great guests and escort to VIP reception room

FULL- Registration: greet guests, find and explain registration packet, scan their credit card, direct them into the event (minimal technical experience is required)

FULL-Game Host: assist bidders with rules of the game and recording game transactions (minimum technical experience required)

FULL-Bid Assistant: assist bidders with bid process on bidsheet tablets and kiosks, convey any technical issues, assist guests with smartphone bidding registration (minimum technical experience required)

Spotters: act as visual liaison between bidders and live auctioneer

Recorders: verify winning bid amounts, procure the bid ID numbers and help guests enter their bid into the tablet

Invoice Delivery Assistant: organize receipts into envelopes, hand deliver them to guests and explain check-out process

Merchandise Packers and Check-out Assistants: pack up each guest's winning items, collect a signed receipt, deliver winning items to guests (minimum technical experience required)

FULL-Move Out: pack-up any items that need to return to PSP
