Once you finish learning each key role, please "check" it off to indicate you've read it. Recruitment keeps the pipeline of presenters full and, most importantly, 1MCstp running. This main person (although all organizers are involved in the recruitment process) is well-connected in/to the community + has expert knowledge of the application process. Note: ALL organizers should not only bring applications into the system, but vote/downvote applications according to 1MC community guidelines. They will use the 1MC community website and help guide potential presenters through the application process, ensuring they successfully submit their applications. Coaching is a key component of 1MC’s mission on educating entrepreneurs. This organizer should have a knack for mentoring and assist each presenter with his/her presentation by offering valuable feedback, both before and after Wednesday's event. Currently, these organizers will assist the Greenhouse in virtual practice rounds. In Person: this organizer can upload the presenter's documents/slides or coach them through first stage jitters. They may include the presenter's name/business on the white board to ensure he/she feels valued/recognized within the room. Social Media: Organizers will utilize social media to engage our St. Pete community and local entrepreneurs. They will build a following, engaging the audience through well-branded content/ideas/prompts/outreach.In this current, digital world: this role is vital. We're looking for help with creating and executing content (stories/posts/photographs) that builds a community (And dare I say? FREE of spelling errors).Most importantly, this organizer should "start the conversation" by tagging/incorporating local entrepreneurs, businesses, channels, etc. This organizer must also keep up with the 1MC social media channel on Slack.In Person: Social media, primarily Facebook Live, is a key component of our Wednesday event. You must be comfortable with recording/photographing/documenting the 1MCstp culture. Sponsorship: This role will work with local businesses in an effort to build the community as well as connections. We're currently working with Kahwa, who has been nothing short of amazing. This person can continue to build upon our relationship with Kahwa to ensure there is plenty of hot coffee each week. This role also will be responsible for maintaining good relationships withsponsors and ensuring that sponsors’ logos are on your 1MC community website. In Person: This role could assist with setting up the coffee station for our 1MCstp community Engager/Questioner: This role is to pump up the audience each week by setting the tone for the event, These organizers are charismatic, engaging, energetic and comfortable taking control of the event’s flow to keep it moving along. They will also contribute to the questioning segment for new/returning presenters (so there isn't that awkward silence--), and in person, they will ensure no one's alone-- that each person feels not only welcomed into the space but a vital part of our 1MCstp community. Website: The primary responsibility of this role is to make sure that presenter applications are scheduled in the system and that the community homepage is up to date. This person is responsible for creating and sending out communications to our community followers, adding and removingbanners as needed, and any other website-related work that might arise. This organizer is willing to follow up with people to get things done. Set-Up: In a virtual format, this person can assist with creating a strong virtual space/room. They can assist with branding/sending invitations and promoting weekly events through email, newsletters, social media, etc. They can also ensure/double-check that everyone has the correct calendar invitation for that week's upcoming practice round and event. In Person: This is less of a role and more of a team responsibility. It's truly a combined effort among all organizers to ensure everything is ready to go (coffee is prepared, announcements are ready to go/prepared, upcoming dates/events are written on the white board, the presentations are on screen and ready to go, the sign-in sheet is at the front of The Greenhouse entryway, etc.) And, everyone should stick around after the event to take everything down in a timely manner. And most importantly, they should want to stick around because they enjoy the 1MCstp culture and experience. OK Question Title * 3. What/which type of role/s would you prefer to serve in?
