Undefeated|SurveyMonkey poll: Super Bowl LIII

A few stats ahead of Super Bowl LIII:

  • 78 percent of NFL fans plan to watch the Super Bowl this year
  • 51 percent of fans are rooting for the Rams, and only 24 percent are rooting for the Patriots (24 percent say it doesn’t matter who wins)
  • 31 percent are less of a fan now than they were a few years ago, while 14 percent say they’re a bigger fan and 53 percent say there’s been no change
  • Those who are lesser fans now are most likely to attribute it to the way politics has gotten into the game
  • 48 percent of fans say they support the players who kneel during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and economic inequality, while 51 percent are opposed
