People make entire careers out of keeping everyone in their team up to date and in the loop. No offense to them, but that sounds like an awful lot of extra work.
We want to help you cut corners—responsibly—by finding ways to automate the extra work so you can focus on the really important parts of your job.
That’s why we’re excited to introduce you to Shared Response Alerts. It’s the easiest way to make sure everyone knows what’s going on with your survey, without having to send a bunch of emails and messages to update everyone.
The idea is pretty simple: Automatically send daily email updates to anyone (or everyone) on your team whenever your survey starts picking up responses.
It’s really more than a simple alert, though. It puts your survey results just a click away from the people who care about them the most, giving them a convenient way to check in on results in the moment.
Shared Response Alerts are just the latest in a long (and growing!) list of features we’re rolling out to make sure working on surveys with your team is as frictionless as possible. But even if you’re not working on a team, there’s plenty of ways that sharing response alerts can make the survey process faster and more efficient.
Don’t create surveys alone
Get all the best tools to share the load and create surveys with your team so you get better results, faster.
Keep everyone on the same page, effortlessly: Ever run one of those big, high-profile surveys that seems like practically the whole company wants to be updated on? Maybe it’s the first employee engagement survey after a big change in the company, or maybe you’ve just released a new product and everyone is eagerly waiting for feedback on how customers like it. Keep your boss (or your boss’s boss) in the loop about how the survey’s going and avoid having to send updates yourself.
Make sure clients are always in the loop: Running a survey for someone else? There’s only one thing a client values as much as results: transparency. Let them see exactly how your survey is going so they can be confident things are moving in the right direction. The best part is you don’t need to do anything to keep them happy. Just turn on response alerts and let SurveyMonkey do the rest.
Delegate, delegate, delegate: It won’t hurt our feelings if you admit that keeping track of your survey responses might not be at the top of your list of to-dos. Even if you don’t have the time to keep track of your responses yourself, someone on your team probably does. Share response alerts with your teammate, turn them off for yourself, and start focusing on more pressing matters.
It’s as easy as flipping a switch
Sharing response alerts is as simple as can be. Look for Response Alerts in the Summary section of your survey. Click Manage Alerts to open up your alerts window. From here you can turn your own response alerts on or off or choose Share Alerts to start sending them to others.
All you have to do now is type in the email address of the person you want to send alerts to. And if you’ve got a team account with SurveyMonkey, it’s even easier than that. Start typing the name of teammate and SurveyMonkey will automatically find them for you. Simply select the people you want to receive alerts from the list, and you’re good to go.
Not part of a team on SurveyMonkey yet? That’s OK! You can still use the feature. From the same window, just type in the full email of the person you want to share alerts with—even if they don’t have a SurveyMonkey account yet. We’ll send them an email that will get them set up and let them decide if they actually want to receive alerts.
You can cut out a ton of extra work by sharing response alerts with others, whether they’re anxious clients, attentive bosses, or eager interns. Stop updating everyone on your survey and get to the real work, whatever that might be.
It’s a perfect addition to the suite of tools we’ve designed to make your team win at surveys, every time. You can use commenting to gather all your team’s feedback on your survey in the same place—and do it fast. Share and manage permissions to give just the right amount of access to just the right people, or share assets with your team to make consistently great surveys.
The best part is, it’s only the beginning.
We’re working on a ton of features that will make it even easier to add surveys to your team’s everyday workflow, so you can get the data you need to more things done and get them done right.
