New competitors are entering the streaming market, with Apple, NBC, Disney, and a joint project between Disney, Hulu, and ESPN all set to debut this fall. In a new Fortune|SurveyMonkey poll, just 11% of current streaming customers say they are likely to cancel any of their current streaming subscriptions as a result of the new competitors, while a majority (59%) say they are unlikely to do so and 28% say they’re neither likely nor unlikely.
However, people are willing to consider adding a new streaming service to their lives. About one in five people (21%) say they're likely to subscribe to the new streaming service from Disney, and about as many (19%) say they're likely to subscribe to the Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundle. Fewer—14% and eight percent, respectively—say they're likely to subscribe to new streaming services from Apple or NBC.
