She’s not running. She isn’t even eligible. But 74% of Democrats and those who lean to the Democratic Party say they would at least consider voting for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez if she were old enough to become president, including 17% who say they would “definitely” vote for her.

Among the overall adult population, her greatest support comes from young people and populations of color:

  • 69% of all 18-24 year-olds say they would at least consider voting for her, with 16 percent saying they would “definitely” vote for her
  • 17% of all Hispanics and 16 percent of all blacks would “definitely” vote for her
  • Among Democrats:
    • 87% of Democrats 18-34 would at least consider voting for her, with 28% saying they would definitely vote for her
    • 83% of non-white Democrats would at least consider voting for her, with 23% saying they would definitely vote for her
  • Among Republicans:
    • 30% of Republicans age 18-34 would at least consider voting for her
    • 28% of non-white Republicans would at least consider voting for her
