Home-based businesses in Torbay: please help us to help you! This survey is for people who regularly work at/from home in the Bay area - whether you be self-employed or run your own company.
We have been commissioned by Torbay Development Agency (TDA) to research potential demand for 'workhubs' to be set up in key locations in the Bay - to make work easier for homeworkers, home-based businesses and other small service businesses.
A workhub is a workspace which provides services to members as and when they need them - an alternative to taking a separate office away from home. Users can drop in to work, meet and access services, or can make use of virtual services. They can also be centres for collaboration and networking.
To understand the potential demand for workhubs we need to find out about how you work today. But we also want to know what you want in the future: so we have included questions on ideas that might (or might not) appeal to you to help you grow your business from home.
We have also included questions about planning rules, tax, business support and business/creative networks.
