Descriptions of tutor/mentor roles:

1. CBL course: usually in the Psych or Education departments, tutoring/mentoring may be an option to earn class credit. In most cases, you will be expected to volunteer 1 afternoon per week.

2. America Reads/America Counts or Off-Campus Work Study: must be pre-approved for federal work-study, hours will vary according to your work-study award (usually 8-10 hrs/week, meaning 2 afternoons of tutoring).

3. Volunteer: all volunteers are expected to tutor/mentor at least one afternoon per week.
