We need your thoughts!

Dear Teachers,

We--Kylene Beers and Bob Probst-- are completing a book on the teaching of nonfiction. We can't do this work in isolation, though, and very much want to hear your thoughts about teaching nonfiction. So, just as we did in Notice and Note: Strategies for Close Reading, we are once again asking teachers to share their insights into this aspect of their work.

If you are a reading or English/Language Arts teacher, please encourage some of your colleagues in the other disciplines -- Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, Art, Music, and the others -- to take this survey, too, so that we'll have a broader base of information. This survey is for classroom teachers--not coaches, supervisors, instructional resource folks, principals, or university professors. We'll run a separate survey for you folks at a later date, but this one just for teachers.

Folks who took an early version said this took about 10 minutes to complete.

We appreciate your help--

Kylene and Bob
