Needs Assessment for Next Generation Assessments Readiness

This needs assessment tool was developed for the purpose of identifying challenges your LEA may have with preparing for Next Generation Assessments (NGA), and for identifying areas where OSSE can support LEAs in NGA readiness. NGA assessments include the PARCC assessment, statewide science assessments aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), statewide health assessments, and applicable statewide alternate assessments (NCSC, etc.).

The survey will accomplish the following goals:

GOAL I: Identify LEA needs in preparing students to be successful in taking NGAs, including needs related to community and parent engagement;

GOAL II: Identify successes and challenges in aligning curriculum and instruction to standards assessed by NGAs;

GOAL III: Assess LEA readiness to administer NGAs; and

GOAL IV: Identify areas of need in preparing special populations to take statewide assessments and alternate assessments.

The results of this survey will be used by OSSE to provide relevant information and support to LEAs. We appreciate your responses and thank you in advance for your time.
