1. Building a Healthier Saskatchewan - Provincial Tobacco Reduction Strategy

Stakeholders with expertise and experience in tobacco use reduction have been working with the Ministry of Health to deliver a comprehensive provincial tobacco strategy. This provincial strategy is guided by the principles of respect, engagement and transparency with three main goals: Prevention, Protection, and Cessation. In a few days, you will attend a tobacco cessation workshop called PACT (Partnership to Assist with Cessation of Tobacco). PACT was designed to expand the scope of cessation training opportunities in the province; provide tools and supportive networks for those working in cessation; and provide a standardized approach to cessation delivery across health regions, facilities,and among various health care providers.
