The year 2016 marks the 125th anniversary of the Institution of Civil Engineers regional organisation in the North East and in celebration the Institution would like to hear members views on who they consider to be the Great North Civil Engineers of all time.
Members are invited to nominate civil engineers who they consider has made the greatest impact on the North East or who, having been born in the North East, have made a significant and major impact outside the region. During 2016, a leaflet will be published giving short biographical details of the top 10 nominated Great North Engineers.
Nominations should be made before 30th September 2016. If possible nominations should include a reason for the selection and details of the Engineers notable works. There is no need to nominate more than one engineer although a ranking would assist in the compiling of the ultimate final list.
