Dear Pentagon Families and Survivors,
Voices of September 11th is planning several events to observe the Tenth Observance of 9/11. In an effort to better plan for the events we are asking for you to provide your input by completing a brief survey by Friday, May 13th. A link to the survey is at the end of this letter.
On September 10th Voices of September 11th, in partnership with the Pentagon Memorial Fund, is hosting a Day of Remembrance Information Forum at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, Virginia.
The Day of Remembrance Information Forum will include expert panelists, roundtable discussions, exhibits and provide an opportunity for families to gather together. VOICES staff will also conduct 9/11 Living Memorial workshop appointments to assist surviving family members with the process of commemorating your loved ones. Families are invited to bring photographs, written materials and personal keepsakes that will be scanned or photographed to include in the 9/11 Memorial Museum. 9/11 surviving family members, rescue workers and those who survived the events of the day are invited to attend.
On September 11th, VOICES is considering the possibility of hosting a luncheon at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel following the 10th Anniversary Observance at the Pentagon.
In addition, in an effort to assist families with hotel reservations, we have reserved 40 rooms at the Sheraton Arlington Hotel at the special rate of $89.00 for September 9th through September 11th. Please let us know if you are interested in reserving a hotel room.
VOICES staff will be conducting 9/11 Living Memorial workshops in Washington, D.C. in May and June, so we are available to meet in advance of the commemoration. Contact Michelle Doherty at 203-966-3911 or mdoherty@voicesofsept11.org if you are interested in participating. Visit www.voicesofsept11.org to learn more about the 9/11 Living Memorial Project.
Thank you in advance for completing this brief survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/8LLMVT7. We would appreciate if you would complete the survey by Friday, May 13th.
Warm regards,
Mary Fetchet, Voices of September 11th
