1. Welcome downtown businesses!
Dear Merchant:
This survey is meant to serve as a joint interest venture by the East Lansing Downtown Management Board (DMB) and Downtown Development Authority (DDA) seeking to engage downtown businesses in their actions.
The Downtown Management Board (DMB) promotes East Lansing's downtown through a variety of marketing efforts, including merchant co-op advertising and the "It's Your Downtown" marketing campaign. In addition, the DMB has developed other activities, including the tri-annual “Social Meet and Greet” events and the ‘Talk of the Town’ newsletter to further support downtown businesses.
The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) develops programs and projects which are aimed at improving downtown East Lansing including new business development, business recruitment and retention, downtown beautification, and public improvements. Some of the current DDA programs include the Business Loan program, the Cultural Entrepreneurship program, and the High-tech business accelerator programs.
We want to hear from you, business owners located in downtown to East Lansing! This brief survey covers many issues downtown merchants are generally interested in, from advertising co-op opportunities to business support services. The survey will provide the DMB and DDA with valuable information that will help guide and shape their future actions and programs. Thus, we are asking you to take 15 minutes and fill out the attached survey.
