With the recent launch of the ‘Read On, Get On’ campaign, Teach First and the Times Educational Supplement are working together to highlight the importance of great and passionate teachers in helping to inspire a love of reading and the joy of stories.

For this reason, we want to ask you as teachers about the ways that you have inspired a reluctant reader with a newly discovered love of literature. If you can spare 5 minutes, we simply ask that you tell us a bit about your own love of reading, the breakthrough book you used to inspire a reluctant reader; and the kinds of resources that you would like to see more of to support you in the classroom!

The results will help to inform an article in the Times Educational Supplement – one that touches on the campaign and the role of teachers in addressing the fears highlighted in the report, that 1.5 million British children will reach the age of 11 unable to "read well" by 2025.

All results are anonymous though we do ask towards the end of the survey whether you would be willing to take part in any subsequent media opportunities.

Thank you very much for your time
