Women for Independence

Listening to Women - About this survey

Women for Independence is a grassroots, diverse network of women campaigning for independence for Scotland. You can find out more about us at www.womenforindependence.org. We want to encourage women to vote yes in the referendum in 2014 and to encourage more women to support independence for Scotland.

This survey is part of our Listening for Independence exercise and we really want you to take part if you've not yet made up your mind how to vote in the referendum. That’s because we want to listen to what you have to say about what matters to you politically. Of course, we’d like to be able to persuade you to vote yes eventually, but actually, it's just as important for us to encourage more women to engage in the debate.

The survey will only take 10 minutes to complete. What you tell us is anonymous, no one will know who you are and we will only publish the total findings from everyone's answers. We will share those findings with our members/supporters, with other organisations we think appropriate and will also tell the media about some of the findings.

One last thing - if you are a man, we'd rather you didn't take part. The same applies to women intending to vote yes in 2014. This survey is about listening to women who often don’t vote at all, or who don't know how to vote in 2014, and who are rarely given a space to share their views. We hope you will respect this. Thank you.
