* 4. Please indicate that you understand and agree to the following Team Eligibility Rules:

A. Participants must be students in the pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree at a college or university in the fifty United States and the District of Columbia and Faculty Advisors must be employed by the same college or university as the Participants.

B. Participants and Faculty Advisors must be of the legal age of majority in their state of legal residence and residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia. Void where prohibited by law.

C. Employees of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (“Sponsor”) and its affiliates and subsidiaries, participating advertising and promotion agencies and members of their immediate family, defined as parents, children, siblings and spouse, regardless of where they reside, and/or those living in the same household are not eligible.

D. A majority of Participants participating on the same Team may not be employed by the same corporate employer. Participants performing research and/or working for the same college or university are exempt from this prohibition. Teams of one Participant are exempt from prohibition.

E. Participants must have access to the Internet and a valid email address in order to submit a Plan.

1. Business Plans must be submitted via email to UFsocialentrepreneurship@gmail.com (as a .doc or .pdf format attachment) by 4pm on Wed. 1/23.
-1 page summary of your business plan must be emailed to
-Mon. 1/28 - 3 Finalists will be Announced
-Thurs. 1/31 4pm - 3 Finalists must submit the final draft of their Business Plan & PowerPoint
-Fri. 2/1 9am-1pm - 3 Finalists Compete in Hough (room TBA), 4pm Winning Team will be Announced (this team will be eligible to compete in the Regional Competition)

2. Each team must email your One-page Plan Summary and list of Team members by email to walmartchallenge@netimpact.org by 11:59pm on Wed. 1/23. The summary must be in English, saved in .PDF format as “YourSchoolName_YourBusinessPlanTitle” typed and double-spaced, using 12- point font, with 1” Margins on all sides.

3. Each team will need to bring their own laptop with their presentations previously loaded, as well as a USB drive ("memory stick") with the presentation on it in case of equipment failure. You will be provided an LCD projector, screen, and courtesy monitor. Microphones will not be needed.

4. Plans will be no longer than 20 pages in length; typed and double-spaced, using 12-point font. Margins will be 1” on all sides.

5. Spreadsheets and appropriate appendices are permitted, but the entire plan must not exceed 30 pages.

6. The text portion of the plan is the most essential part, and time may not permit careful study of any attachments or appendices by the judges. All necessary information should be stated in your business plan, and attachments, appendices, and spreadsheets included for justification or illustration purposes.

7. Each team selected for UF's Final Round will have 30 minutes to present their plan, followed by judges’ 20-minute question and answer. Judges will have 10 minutes to confer and break if necessary. Each team will have up to five minutes to set up their presentation.

8. Each team will present to the same team of judges on Friday, February 1st from 9am-1pm in Hough (room TBA).
