Thank you for participating in this brief (10 to 15 minute) questionnaire. Please provide information on natural disasters in your community over the past five years, and information about steps your community is already taking or plans to take to reduce risk to individuals and property.

Any activities taken in advance of a natural disaster in order to reduce risk are considered hazard mitigation. This information will become part of the 2020 St. Louis Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan update. The Federal and State Emergency Management Agencies (FEMA and SEMA) require local jurisdictions to adopt a plan and update it every five years, in order to be eligible for natural hazard mitigation funding. East-West Gateway Council of Governments (EWG) worked with jurisdictions to create this regional plan in 2004 and then published updates in 2010 and 2015. Your responses to this survey are important to help EWG complete the 2020 plan update. Please complete the survey before May 15, 2020. Thank you for your participation and input.
