Are you a founder, leader, manager, organiser, administrator, or equivalent, of a co-operative in South Africa? |
If so, please click 'Next' to register your co-operative's interest in taking part in a study
The study is on applications of the values and principles of the global co-operative movement (the document linked below lists them). Compliance with these values and principles is a legal requirement for co-operatives in South Africa.
The objective of the study is to assess how and the extent to which the values and principles have been understood, internalised and/or contested, and institutionalised, if at all, by co-operatives in South Africa. It is hoped that the outputs of the study could enhance knowledge on the topic, strengthen governance practices in co-operatives, and assist policy-makers in creating an enabling environment for co-operatives and their development.
It should take 8 minutes to complete the form. Completing it does not guarantee participation. If your co-operative is selected, two representatives will be called on to join the inquiry group (each co-operative need only complete one form).
If you are unable to complete the form for any reason, or have questions, please email cooperativeethics@gmail.com or SMS/WhatsApp/Signal/Telegram +27-65-609-1776 for help.
Participants will be selected from responses received by 11:59pm (South African Standard Time) on 28 February 2021. Respondents who submit thereafter and those not selected will be considered for further iterations of the study, if any.
