Introduction
Aiding Culturally Responsive Assessment in Schools (ACRAS) is a 3-year Erasmus+ study funded by The European Commission. The purpose of ACRAS is to develop frameworks of best practice in educational assessment for students from migrant backgrounds as well as supportive strategies for teachers to incorporate Culturally Responsive Assessment in their practice. In this study, Culturally Responsive Assessment is defined as Classroom-based assessment that acknowledges and respects learners’ cultural background and approaches to learning as they strive for academic success.
As part of this research initiative, we are keen to receive feedback from schools on strategies, supports and challenges to assessing students with a migration background. The survey consists of 3 short sections and will take the average respondent approximately 20-minutes to complete.
- Section 1 is for the purpose of providing an outline profile of schools.
- Section 2 is for the purpose of exploring culturally responsive assessment strategies in schools.
- Section 3 is for the purpose of exploring culturally responsive assessment challenges and supports in schools.
All your responses will be treated as confidential and your anonymity is assured in the reporting of the results.
Thank you in advance for your interest and for taking the time to complete this survey.
